Ghanaian scientist Albert Ashong is making waves in Canada with research that could help change how early we detect serious diseases.

Albert Ashong, a PhD student at McMaster University, is developing light-based optical biosensors that could help detect heart and kidney disease at their earliest stages.
Ghanaian scientist Albert Ashong is making waves in Canada with research that could help change how early we detect serious diseases.
Ashong, a PhD student at McMaster University, is developing tiny optical biosensors that use light-based technology to help detect conditions such as heart and kidney disease at their earliest stages, potentially giving doctors a chance to intervene sooner.
And his journey is GLOBAL.
He studied in Germany, conducted research in Denmark, and is now doing groundbreaking work right here in Canada.
His work has also earned him recognition from the Canadian Black Scientists Network, receiving its Excellence in Research and Innovation Award.
THIS is the kind of story we need to see more of.
African scientists are participating in the future of science and technology, and they're helping BUILD it. ππΎππΎππΎ
Big congratulations to Albert Ashong. Ghana to the world!
